Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how eSIM.ist, also presented as Travel by eSIM ist, collects and uses personal information when you browse our website, buy an eSIM, contact support, or manage an issued eSIM.

Information we collect

We collect only information reasonably needed to operate the store and provide connectivity services:

• Contact details, primarily your email address and any information you provide to support.
• Order information, including destination, package, quantity, selected duration, price, currency, payment status, and refund history.
• eSIM fulfilment information such as order number, ICCID, activation status, package status, and delivery records.
• Technical information such as IP address, browser, device type, timestamps, security logs, and basic diagnostic information.
• Support correspondence, including messages, attachments, and troubleshooting details you choose to send.

We do not intentionally inspect the content of your internet traffic. Payment-card details are collected and processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers or card security codes.

How and why we use information

• To process payment, create your order, provision the correct eSIM, and deliver QR codes.
• To provide activation help, network troubleshooting, top-ups, cancellations, and customer support.
• To prevent duplicate provisioning, payment fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unauthorized access.
• To maintain transaction records, meet accounting obligations, and resolve disputes.
• To monitor site reliability, understand aggregate usage, and improve the purchase experience.
• To send service messages and, only where permitted, marketing messages that you can unsubscribe from.

Depending on applicable law, processing is based on performance of our contract with you, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, legal obligations, or your consent.

Service providers and data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share limited data only when needed to provide the service, including with:

• Payment processors such as Stripe for checkout, fraud screening, payment confirmation, and refunds.
• eSIM and mobile-network partners for package provisioning, activation, usage status, and support.
• Email-delivery providers for sending order confirmations, QR codes, and service notices.
• Hosting, security, logging, and technical-support providers.
• Professional advisers, regulators, courts, or authorities where legally required or necessary to protect rights and safety.

Each provider receives only the information needed for its role and processes information under its own legal obligations and contractual safeguards.

Cookies and similar technologies

We may use essential cookies and local storage to keep the store secure, remember interface preferences, preserve checkout state, and prevent repeated transactions. Analytics or affiliate-attribution technologies may be used where permitted and, where required, only after consent.

You can restrict cookies in your browser. Blocking essential storage may affect checkout, language preferences, or account functions.

Retention and international transfers

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for fulfilment, support, security, accounting, legal compliance, and dispute handling. eSIM operational records may be retained while the plan remains active and for a limited support period afterward. Transaction records may be retained longer where tax or financial laws require it.

Because eSIM connectivity is international, information may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards for international transfers.

How we protect information

We use encrypted connections, restricted access, trusted payment processing, logging, and request-level safeguards. Checkout requests use idempotency controls to reduce duplicate payments and duplicate eSIM provisioning.

No online system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your QR code and activation details private; anyone with access to them may attempt to install your eSIM.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

Email support@esim.ist with the subject “Privacy request.” We may need to verify your identity. Some records cannot be deleted immediately where retention is required for fraud prevention, accounting, legal claims, or compliance.

Children

Our store is intended for people able to enter a binding purchase agreement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization. A parent or guardian may contact us to request review or deletion.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. Material updates will be indicated by a revised date and, where appropriate, an additional notice.
